Mediterranean gardens are a bold way to landscape. Bright colors in red, yellow, orange and purple are usually seen. Bold architectural plants are used along with soft ornamental grasses to introduce sound and movement into the garden. Water features and elaborate stonework are a part of some projects. Mediterranean plants are easy to grow in Southern California so this type of landscape is very popular (and successful!).
